Modal Analysis of Electronic Power Steering Based on Finite Element Method

Article Preview

Abstract:

With the application of the software Pro / Engineer, the 3-D model of automobile Electric Power steering system is built. The pre-processing and post-processing of the model are carried in I-DEAS software, while PERMAS solver is used to calculate. The structure design and dynamic characteristic optimization of the model are researched, and on the basis of natural frequencies analysis, several design improvement schemes are brought forward. The optimum scheme is generated through comparison.
