A New Dynamic Measurement for the Initial Prestress of Membrane Structure

Article Preview

Abstract:

There is an absent of an effective way to measure the prestress of the structural membranes during the construction stage and under normal conditions. A new approach based on vibration method is proposed in this paper. This article analyzes the vibration characteristic of the typical membrane structures (Saddle Shape and High Point Shape) and provides the theoretical basis for a new approach which is convenient for operation and reliable for engineering application.
