Yard Allocation for Coal Terminal Based on Rules

Article Preview

Abstract:

The paper has studied the allocation strategy according to the cargo in the bulk terminal because yard is the important resource in terminal. Coal is the typical goods in bulk terminal, so the rules are extracted in this paper from the character of coal, management principles of coal terminal and the characteristics of equipments. Then the yard allocation model based on rules is designed. It can choose the suitable position to put the coal in the yard by three steps which are available positions acquiring, equipment and yards matching, suitable position choosing. The production efficiency and the rate of yard utilization are improved by using this model. At last a case is tested by the simulation in order to prove that the method designed in this paper is useful.
