Identification of Rotor System Noise Source Based on Sound Intensity Measurement

Article Preview

Abstract:

In this paper, the noise of the rotor system is classified at first, and then the sound intensity experiment of the rotor system is conducted based on “two-microphone” method. Then the sound intensity contour maps were obtained from the measurement results. An investigation towards the relationship between the characteristics of contour maps and distributions of the rotor system on space was taken; the main noise sources of the engine were identified. The result provides guidelines for taking measures to reduce noise.
