Modular Design of Mechanical Products Based on Module Family

Abstract:

At first according to several typical definitions this paper concludes the characteristics of the module, based on which the descriptive model of the module of mechanical product and the concept of the module family are proposed, and then the configurative model of the module family of the mechanical product is discussed, so is the modular design of mechanical products based on the module family. Finally, three methods of the modular design of mechanical products are summarized.
