A Circuit to Realize the Repetitive Operation of Underwater Corona Discharge in the Application of Water Treatment

Article Preview

Abstract:

Underwater corona discharge is a swift, efficient and low-cost method for water treatment. To achieve above advantages, underwater corona discharge systems usually work in the repetitive mode. In this paper, a simple charge-discharge circuit for the typical driven capacitor (10nF/100KV) is proposed, which makes the system be capable to work at a repetition rate of 50Hz. The working mechanism of this circuit is introduced, and its electric behavior is simulated by pSpice. Based on the simulation results, the rules of choosing the electric parameters for this circuit are discussed.
