The Optimization Design of Certain FRP Sluice Gate

Abstract:

In order to optimization design a FRP sluice, four parameters(plate thickness、web number,web thickness,web height) are analyzed on two integrated performance(maximum deflection and volume fraction) by the ANSYS software. The results show that the plate thickness has a great effect on the volume fraction and the web height has a great effect on the maximum deflection. The web height is the controlling factor in the optimization design .After determining other three parameters, the web height controls the maximum deflection. This research result provides a reference optimization method for designer.
