Properties of Slag and Ash from the Incinerator in Biomass Power Plants

Article Preview

Abstract:

The properties of slag and ash generated from a biomass power plant were analyzed by various characterization methods and the sulfur was tracked. The results showed that the slag and ash contain major elements like Si, S, K and Ca etc and primary substances like SiO2, CaCO3 etc. Sulfur is in the form of amorphous soluble salts and insoluble materials in residual carbon.
