Research on the Temperature Distribution of Stator Collector Ring in Evaporative Cooling Hydro-Generator

Article Preview

Abstract:

The self-circulation inner evaporative cooling system of stator collector ring is a new cooling system for stator collector ring in hydro-generator, with the advantages of high-security, energy-saving and high efficiency. In this paper, the temperature distribution of stator collector rings in the new cooling system under different work conditions, were analyzed theoretically by simulating. The chosen correlations of flow resistance and heat transfer were introduced. Comparing with the experimental data, the simulation results show that the prediction precision of the temperature distribution of stator collector ring is satisfying with maximum relative error less than 9.13%. The simulation method in this paper is reliable and can be utilized in the applied engineering field.
