Abstract: In order to investigate arsenic drinking water treatment effect of enhanced coagulation in integrated efficient-whirling clarifier, and explore optimum working condition, the experiment of arsenic removal was carried out for raw water, the arsenic concentration of 0.1mg/L (100µg/L) and the turbidity of 100NTU. In this experiment, the oxidant’s dosage of sodium hypochlorite (NaClO) was 10mg/L and the coagulant’s dosage of ferric chloride (FeCl3) was 15mg/L, when three kinds of reaction time (T) in the first and second flocculation zone were employed, which respectively equal to 5.4 minutes, 2.7 minutes and 1.8 minutes. The results of experiment showed that the concentration of arsenic all drop below 10µg/L, which reached drinking water sanitary standard (GB 5749-2006), and the best working condition for arsenic removal was reaction time equal to 2.7 minutes.

Abstract: The water resources of the local west are seriously lacking, and most of water is brackish water with high contains of fluorine quantity. This topic used the RO desalination processing craft to desalt the water in order to provide the drinkable water in the west. The result indicated that the RO brackish water desalination technology is feasible, the quality of desalinated water can meet the national drinking water health standard.

Abstract: Experimental study on radiant heat of market shelf fire depressed by high-pressure water mist system was carried out. The experiment researched on typical burning parts and combustions of places like market, and chosen experimental combustion components. The results show that the concentrate spray of high-pressure water mist system can decay the radiant heat of fire shelf effectively. The higher the spray pressure of the system, the faster the decay rate of radiation heat.

Abstract: According to the fuzziness of water quality in water distribution system, based on the simulation data of water quality obtained by using EPANET software, and applying entropy weight theory in the fuzzy evaluation of water quality, fuzzy evaluation model of water quality based on entropy weight and EPANET is established. Water quality in water distribution system of Hengshanqiao town is evaluated by using this method.Evaluation results are relatively objective and credible, proving that the method is simple and practical, scientific and reliable.

Abstract: Cryptosporidium parvum and Giardia lamblia are common pathogenic protozoa in water, which pose high risk to drinking water supply. In the present study, detection of C. parvum and G. lamblia was performed by quantitative real-time PCR (RT-PCR). Pairs of PCR primers were evaluated for the detection specificity to pathogenic C. parvum and G. lamblia. The recovery of the RT-PCR detection procedure was examined and high recovery rates (i.e., more than 45% for C. parvum and more than 50% for G. lamblia ) were achieved. The RT-PCR method was used to detect C. parvum and G. lamblia in a secondary water supply. The results indicated the potential application of the quantitative RT- PCR method in detection of C. parvum and G. lamblia in water supply.

Abstract: Through the analysis on the situation of water-saving in water supply and drainage system of our country, we recognize that there are still some problems in water-saving of buildings and we still have many works to do on water-saving. In order to build a water-saving society, and to save and protect water resources, we must improve our consciousness on water-saving, innovate water-saving technology, and promote the applications of water-saving equipments and facilities.

Abstract: Response surface methodology (RSM) was applied to optimize the magnetic coagulation conditions for micro-polluted river water treatment. Based on single-factor experiment, Box-Behnken central composition experiment design was applied. The poly aluminum Chloride (PAC), magnetic particle, polyacrylamide (PAM), mixing stirring and flocculating stirring revolving speed were chosen as causal factors. RSM was employed to study the effects of these factors on the turbidity removal efficiency. Base on the target value (>95%), the results show that the optimum conditions were PAC 29.31mgL-1, magnetic particle 61.90mgL-1, PAM 0.48mgL-1, mixing stirring revolving speed 288rpm, flocculating stirring revolving speed 6 rpm. The average turbidity removal efficiency in three validation experiments was 95.36%, with the predicted value was 95.19%. The relative error between the measured data and the predicted value was 0.17%. It confirms that RSM was a useful tool to optimize the magnetic coagulation operating conditions for micro-polluted river water treatment.

Abstract: Silver carp were stocked in a pre-sedimentation pond in front of conventional water treatment processes in order to control Microcystis blooms in raw water. Silver carp effectively reduced the Microcystis flos-aquae concentrations, but green algae concentrations increased due to the ineffective filtration of silver carp for them. Water quality variations based on the effect of silver carp stocking on the two major phytoplankton communities (Microcystis and green algae) were evaluated by to investigate the relationship between water quality and phytoplankton cell concentrations in influent and effluent during Microcystis blooms period. Linear regression analysis indicated that the dominant species Microcystis governed the variation of turbidity and CODMn, and its concentration showed positive correlations with the two parameters. Meanwhile, the increase of green algae biomass led to the increase of pH and Chlorophyll a content, and showed obvious positive correlations with the two parameters in effluent.

Abstract: The traditional drainage system of civil air defense projects is designed to discharge waste water directly to engineering external, depending on the external facilities of the project seriously, result in poor survival of the entire civil air defense in wartime. Through the engineering biogas tanks sewage treatment technology in underground engineering, independence of internal drainage system is greatly enhanced, the whole project’ self-protection and ability to substantially is greatly strengthened in wartime, then it will not only have good environmental and economic benefits, but also have a strong military benefits.
