Study on the Preparation and Characteristics of Calcium Carbonate/Polyvinylidene Fluoride (CaCO3/PVDF) Hybrid Membrane

Article Preview

Abstract:

In this paper, calcium carbonate/polyvinylidene fluoride hybrid membrane was prepared through blending method. The effects of contents of CaCO3 and its particle size on structure and property of hybrid membrane were investigated. Experiment results indicated that with increase of CaCO3 content, both membrane’s flux and strength show firstly rising up, and secondly going down. Different sizes of CaCO3 particles also have effect on performances of membranes. So proper content of CaCO3 and its particle sizes were helpful to high membrane flux and strength.
