Abstract: A diode-end-pumped ceramic Nd:YAG laser discretely tunable for five wavelengths was demonstrated. The tunability was obtained by a blazing grating in Littrow mode, and the laser was discretely tuned from 1052 nm to 1073 nm. Under the diode pump power of 4.59 W, the average output powers at five wavelengths were all over 1 W. The laser source may find applications in spectroscopy and metrology.

Abstract: In this paper, the photoalignment performance of the synthesized polymers was tested preliminarily and the photochemical reaction and the photoalignment at different conditions were discussed. The results indicated that liquid crystal molecules can rearrange because of the photo crosslinking of P1. The results show that with the increase exposure energy, the Abs and the degree of photochemical reaction is gradually stable and △A is always positive. All this shows that the direction of photocyclodimer is parallel to E vector of the LPUV and make the polymer film have an optical anisotropy.

Abstract: Steel is one of the most fundamental materials in national construction, with an ever-increasing output these years, with an ever-increasing output of steel these years. The whole industry has gained a good and vigorous momentum of development, with the structure of steel products remarkably promoted, the concentration of steel production lowered, and state-owned enterprises decreased and private ones increased proportionally. However, there are still several problems with steel industry, which are in dire need to be solved. To this end, a recycling process of steel production is proposed to ensure a promising future for steel industry.

Abstract: A glycyrrhizin decorated graphene hybrid materials (GL-G) was synthesized, which is a layer-to-layer sandwich construction. The results of characterization indicate that a photo induced electron transfer process or efficient energy transferring along the GL-G interface. Furthermore, the as-made hybrid material was used as a modifier of the glassy carbon electrode to construct a sensor (GL-G/GCE). Using p-nitrophenol as a model compound, the novel sensor demonstrated a highly enhanced electrochemical activity for it. The peak current of p-nitrophenol was significantly improved at the sensor.

Abstract: To prepare copper oxide crystals by direct precipitation with copper sulphate as the copper, sodium hydroxide as the precipitant, and ethanol - aqueous solution as dispersion system. Ultimately getting the optimum conditions of synthesis of the copper oxide by aging time, calcination temperature, pH values as three factors, and methylene blue degradation as the reference: the aging time was 30 min, the calcination temperature was 400 ° C, and pH value was 9. And using XRD, SEM for characterization testing of the product.

Abstract: The magnetic fields in the 320 kA Al reduction cells have been calculated using ANSYS. The calculated results show that the magnetic field lines are concentrated in the cell wall; the magnetic fields in the Al reduction cell form a clockwise swirl along the Z-axis; the magnetic field strengthen in the corners; the vertical magnetic field value of the Al reduction cell is slightly higher. The range of BX, BY and BZ is -0.048~0.145 T, -0.046~0.292 T and -0.183~0.196 T in the Al of the Al reduction cell, respectively. The range of BX, BY and BZ is -0.183~0.348 T, -0.447~0.515 T and -0.350~0.225 T in the electrolyte of the Al reduction cell, respectively. The range of BX, BY and BZ is -0.020~0.035 T, -0.014~0.016 T and -0.015~0.028 T on the interface of melt of the Al reduction cell, respectively. The optimization design of the Al reduction cells should give full consideration to the influence of the ferromagnetic material

Abstract: Zirconia/graphene (ZrO2/graphene) nanocomposite has been successfully synthesized by a simple method. The as-prepared nanocomposite was characterized using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), FT-IR spectroscopy, power X-ray diffraction (XRD) and nitrogen adsorption-desorption. It was found that tetragonal ZrO2 was uniformly deposited on graphene, which resulted in the formation of two-dimensional nanocomposite, it showed a high surface area of 165 m2/g.
