Study on Precursor Preparation of Co3O4 Nanometer Particle and its Thermal Decomposition

Article Preview

Abstract:

The precursor of Co3O4 nanometer particles is synthesized through settles under given conditions. The decomposition process of the precipitate is studies by TGA and XRD. The results indicate that the precipitate is amorphous. With the temperature increasing the precursor firstly loses its free water and structure water. Then the precursor decomposes into Co3O4 nanometer particles at 321°C and change into CoO nanometer particles at 920°C.As the firing temperature and time increasing, the crystal transformation tends perfectly.
