Synthesis and Characterization of Blue Light Emitting N,N-Dimethylpyren-1-Amine and its Vinyl Polymer

Abstract:

A new small molecule N,N-dimethylpyren-1-amine (DMPA) was synthesized and its vinyl polymer poly(N,N-dimethylpyren-1-amine) was polymerized by free radical polymerization. The chemical structure and properties of DMPA and P(DMPA) were characterized by NMR, GPC, TGA, DSC, UV-Vis, PL, CV and quantum yield measurements.
