An Analysis of Unloading for Mechanical Press

Abstract:

In order to analyze the advanced unloading problem of the large-scale press machine under nominal pressure, a straight side four point press of 8000kN has been taken for example. The model of the connector is constructed in Abaqus and the stiffness of the connector has been analyzed. The dynamic model of press machine impacting mechanism is constructed in ADAMS and the constraints is added into the model, meanwhile, the simulation model of the hydraulic protective system of the mechanical press is constructed in AMESim. Finally, the combined simulation of the hydraulic and mechanical system is realized, thus the actual stamping process of mechanical press is accurately simulated. The conclusion shows that the improper pre-pressure selection is the main reason for the unloading problem. And the correct pre-pressure value is obtained.
