Impact of Glass Sheets Rigidity on Loads Interaction in an Insulating Glass Unit with Properties of Composite Materials

Article Preview

Abstract:

An insulating glass unit is composed of two sheets of glass sealed by a hermetic gas space, which leads to the fact that a part of load influencing one of glass sheets is transferred to a sheet that is not loaded directly. The article describes the impact of glass sheets rigidity on the value of the load transferred this way.
