Abstract:

During earthquakes, the RC Beam-column joints failure is identified as the principal cause for frame building collapse during. The research of concrete frame joints rehabilitation has a special significance. This paper presents an experimental study of two plane crisscross RC beam–column joints specimens strengthened with CFRP composites. In this project, injured RC frame interior Beam-column joints reinforced by CFRP will be studied by structure experimental theory analysis. In experiment, through pseudo-static experiment, a series of date such as strength, stiffness ductility factor and consumption coefficient will be collected. The following results will be planed to be obtain: (1)The mechanical properties and failure mechanism of the component; (2)Seismic performance of injured and uninjured RC frame interior Beam-column joints reinforced by CFRP as well as the relationship between them; (3) Bearing capacity formula of the injured RC frame interior Beam-column joints reinforced by CFRP. The results generated from this comprehensive project are expected to be of considerable interest and practical use to professionals and researchers involved in the reinforcement of damaged frame joints.
