Abstract:

Emulsified asphalt cement concrete (EACC) has good crack resistance and durability. The influence about the cracking strength of the aggregate shape and the material parameters matching of emulsified asphalt cement concrete were analyzed in this paper through a two-dimensional finite element model built by ANSYS. The circular, square and mixed aggregate had been taken into consideration and the elastic modulus and the Poisson's ratio of the emulsified asphalt cement were changed by 80%, 90%, 100%, 110% and 120% for matching. The results show that selecting the square aggregate can effectively increase the safety reserve of tensile strength of emulsified asphalt cement concrete and the most suitable elastic modulus of emulsified asphalt cement is 25.2GPa and the Poisson's ratio is 0.18, which provides theoretical data for systematic research on emulsified asphalt cement concrete.
