Preparation of Carbon Source Doped in Polymer-Cement Filter and Research on Characteristic of Denitrification

Article Preview

Abstract:

Carbon source doped in polymer-cement were used for coating the filter of organic materials in even, gradient and embedded ways. Starch, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose and polyvinyl alcohol had been selected and used for carbon source of denitrification. The filter advantage is the simple manufacturing process, energy conservation, environmental protection and low cost. We assay the condition of carbon source release in different filter and the experimental results show that the way of embedded carbon source doped in the filter is the optimal with longer lifetime and it can provide sufficient carbon source and be a long time for the growth of microorganism. The rate of denitrogenation can reach up to more than 70% having a great potential development.
