Analysis on Regional Variation of Energy Efficiency in China Based on Convergence Test - A Case Study of Electric Power Efficiency

Article Preview

Abstract:

Applying convergence test method, the energy efficiency differentia among different regions in China is analyzed. It is demonstrated that the differentia has not been really reduced by assessment of electric consumption data. Furthermore, the different endowments of resources among various regions are considered as the main reason and the correlation analysis is used to testify the conclusion. In conclusion, there is still much space to reduce the regional energy efficiency differentia by bridging the endowment of resources gap. On the basis of the above analysis, some policy suggestions are brought up.
