Abstract:

Using energy balance sheets of the energy statistics yearbook of nation and provinces in China, we estimate energy consumption and carbon emissions of urban industry and building and transportation in China. first of all, the energy consumption and carbon emissions of industry are main body of total the energy consumption and carbon emissions; Secondly, the energy consumption and carbon emissions of transportation grows fastest with huge potential. As shown in panel estimation of 30 provinces’ data in China, urban industry and building and transportation have positive effect on carbon emissions, industry the biggest, and building and transportation also significant.
