Abstract: The characteristics of process mineralogy of some pyrite cinders were studied with optics microscopes, scanning electron microscope, and x-ray diffraction. The chemical composition and the phase composition of the pyrite cinders were analyzed. The occurrence and chemical phase analysis of molybdenum of iron, copper, and gold were also studied. The behaviors of various minerals and mineralogical factors affecting the separation had been explained clearly. The investigation results were favorable to reasonable selection of technological process.

Abstract: The study was aimed to recover molybdenum minerals from molybdenum ore with a high content of carbon by flotation process. The material belonged to a kind of refractory molybdenum ore from which molybdenum minerals could not be extracted effectively using traditional beneficiation and metallurgy, because of their similar floatability between carbon minerals and molybdenite and complex intergrowth. Based on the research on the properties of the material and lots of experiments, the carbon-molybdenum bulk flotation experiment was firstly carried out to concentrate molybdenum, and then some potassium permanganate and lime were added in carbon-molybdenum bulk flotation products to inhibit sulfide minerals along with appropriate air agitation. Under such a condition, the floatability of sulfide minerals was weakened and carbon was separated from sulfur. Then carbon concentrate and sulfur concentrate were used to extract molybdenum through metallurgy respectively.

Abstract: The experiments of refractory copper oxide ore which comes from Tangdan of Yunnan Province were studied in laboratory using bulk flotation process and a new process that Ammonia leaching-Extraction-Electrode position-Residue flotation under normal temperature and pressure respectively. The results show that new process, compared with bulk flotation, had an effect to add 10.8 percent points to recovery. And then it is confirmed by industry experiment. So it is successfully applied to industry production and technology indicators were improved dramatically.

Abstract: This study aims to investigate the process mineralogy of the Dishui copper ore in Xinjiang and determine the flotation kinetic equations of this copper ore during the sulfuration flotation process. The results indicate cuprite is the main form of oxide copper minerals, which is difficult to be vulcanized and floated. The fitting of flotation date to a flotation kinetic equation shows that the copper oxide ore, cuprite, malachite and chrysocolla in this ore are consistent with a first order kinetic equation. The rate constants for copper oxide, cuprite, malachite and chrysocolla are 0.152, 0.104, 0.248 and 0.210 respectively. Thus, the flotation of cuprite in the ore is very important to improve the total recovery of the copper oxide ore.

Abstract: The mineral processing flow sheet and reagent system of flotation copper minerals from a large copper-iron deposit in Yunnan were fully investigated. The results indicate that the optimum conditions for flotation of copper minerals from the material were identified as grinding fineness of 85%, dosage of CaO at 2000g/t , dosage of Na2S at 200 g/t, dosage of butyl xanthate 40g/t. Under such a condition, a copper recovery of 88.17% with a concentrate grade of 26.86% was achieved from the material using a closed circuit flow sheet of "one-stage roughing flotation, one-stage cleaning flotation and one-stage scavenging flotation.

Abstract: In this work, we reveals the statistical distribution law of 1-3mm coal particle size by MATLAB and the definition and probability distribution function of log-Weibull distribution. In order to get the theoretical probability model of the particle size distribution, we studied the parameter estimation of Weibull, lognormal and log-Weibull distribution though using the maximum likelihood estimation method. The comparison criterion Cc was introduced to evaluate the difference between the theoretical probability density model and the actual experimental data distribution. The results of comparison criterion shows when the particle size has a smaller intervals, log-Weibull distribution is better to predict the experimental data than Weibull distribution and has a smaller change with the different intervals of particle size than others.

Abstract: Tin gravity slime tailings of Datun mineral processing plant in south-eastern China contains fine and ultrafine cassiterite. Tin recovery from the slime tailings was studies in the presence of different flotation reagents. A flotation process has been used on a laboratory scale to investigate the effect of various reagents such as collectors, auxiliary collector, activators, ect., and theirs dosages in neutral flotation environment. To reach an optimum tin recovery, different dosages of the reagents were also studied. Due to cassiterite is friable and a large amount of fines and slimes were generated. Usually de-sliming is used to prevent slime coating and to increase the recovery of tin. However, analyses have shown that fine particles in the sample mostly contain tin, thus de-sliming was not suggested. By applying the process, ultrafine cassiterite can be efficiently recovered from the tailings slime by one rougher process, and the concentrate assaying 1.20% Sn with a recovery of 89.10% was obtained.

Abstract: This paper studied an technological process of recovery of Pb and Zn from a difficult to choose high oxidation Lead –Zinc deposit. By mineralogy process study shown, the run-of-mine grade of Lead was 4.09%, with the oxidation rate of 88.26%. The optimal grinding fineness was about to 85.68%. Use the best reagent combination which obtained by condition test, the final results was that the grade of Lead concentrate was 35.6% and the recovery rate was 78.73%, included silver 564 g/t; the grade of the Zinc concentrate was 42.50%, and the recovery rate is 83.65%.

Abstract: It had been believed that the genesis of tinny granite in Gejiu tin ore deposits were hydrothermal mineralization in granite of Yanshanian epoch by most researchers for a long time. However, according to the form, attitude and sulphur isotope in the ore of the oreboby, the authors believe the genesis of the tin ore deposit is relict body of granitic superimposed ore-forming of the Yanshanian epoch after the basic volcano ore-forming of the Indo-Chinese epoch. It’s proved that the form and attitude of the oreboby is basically consistent with the form and attitude of the basalt of the Indo-Chinese epoch. Because sulphur isotope in pyrite of the ore is from 0.21 per thousand to 4.4 per thousand, feature of source of the mantle sulphur isotope is reflected.
