Abstract:

In recent years, under the background of global energy crisis and the deterioration of the ecological environment, more and more attention has been paid to the earthen buildings for its outstanding ecological and regional performance. Through three cases, this paper discusses the application status of earthen materials in Chinese contemporary architecture. With the accumulation on the experience of technology and construction of the earthen materials, it will surely have a more diverse performance in the future.
