Article Preview

Abstract:

Sustainability is an important concept in todays architecture and will be even more so in the future. This paper explores sustainable design strategies through several cases of campus building. Five strategies of sustainability are studied: context, aesthetic, materials, energy and enhance lives of inhabitants. The conclusions show that sustainable design strategies are naturally producing building with a regional character. The approach varies according to the opportunities and constraints of each project, and with the ecological characteristics of each region.
