Empirical Research on Roof Reclamation by Land-Lost Farmers in Peri-Urban Areas of China

Abstract:

The problem of land-lost farmers caused by China's rapid urbanization has become increasingly prominent; in particular, the elderly land-lost farmers are having a hard time. Roof reclamation is a sound solution to this problem. Based on typical research, the feasibility of roof reclamation for peri-urban farmers is analyzed, and its high economic, social and ecological benefits are summarized, and pointed out that roof reclamation was an experience and a practice which was worth promoting.
