Numerical Analysis of the Influence of Piles on Separated Island Platform Subway Station

Article Preview

Abstract:

The effect of bridge piles on separated island platform subway station performance was studied by performing two-dimensional numerical analysis. It turned out that the stress of subway station under piles tended to be larger than that without piles no matter under static analysis, dynamic analysis, or superposition of both analyses. Therefore, its necessary to consider the influence of piles on this kind of subway station in seismic analysis and, moreover, strengthen the stress concentrated areas.
