The Assessment of Geological Environment and its Application for Lu’an National Planning Mining Areas in Shanxi Province

Abstract:

Lu'an is classified as national planning coal-mining areas and is also one of most important coal production region in North of China. On the basis of field investigation and samples analysis results, the assessment of geologic environment of the study areas is carry on by means of AHP. The processes of assessment consist of establishment of evaluation index system, determination of weights of each index and outline of geological environmental zoning. The results of assessment can be served as arguments for regional planning and coal producer to prevent, reduce geo-environmental problems and maintain a sustainable and reasonable exploration of coal resources in this region.
