Multiparametric Monitoring of Rotating Parts of Mechanical Devices

Article Preview

Abstract:

The paper is focused on vibration diagnostics and its relation to rotating parts of mechanical devices installed in hydroelectric plants for small catchment areas. Its aim is to point out the importance of monitoring of rotating parts condition in hydraulic turbines, the application of different methods and new techniques to the diagnostics of operating conditions and the examination of various parameters of generated vibrations. The research includes a design of measurements required to the overall diagnostics of the monitored Kaplan water turbine. Based on the acquired data, conclusions, expectations and benefits have been drawn for both science and the public sector.
