Study of the Force Transferring Model Considering Wheel-Rail Interaction of EMU

Article Preview

Abstract:

Adhesion control is an important part of traction inverter control. But the controlling object model is difficult to be built in the adhesion controller design stage because of the nonlinear characteristic between wheels and rails. This paper presents a force transferring model considering wheel-rail interaction of EMU, which is able to simulate the slip phenomenon to evaluate the adhesion control schemes performance and decide the control parameters. At the end of the paper, the simulation was established based on a certain EMU type and two different adhesion control schemes were applied. Comparison simulation result shows the usefulness and effectiveness of the proposed model for the adhesion control research.
