Developing CAM Software with Open CASCADE

Article Preview

Abstract:

For the current problem of CAM engineering is high cost and long development cycle with commercial CAD kernel, this paper proposed a method which uses open-source Open CASCADE kernel to develop trajectory planning software method, described in detail the composition of the Open CASCADE kernel, highlights its base class, model data, modeling algorithm, visualization module in the CAM software development, given a trajectory planning instance using the method developed. From trajectory generation effect, the proposed method is a fast and efficient method of development of CAM software.
