Studying on Improving Adsorption Capacity of Pillared-Montmorillonite by Na₆(PO₃)₆

Abstract:

As the raw materials of preparing pillared-montmorillonite, before being pillared, Na-montmorillonite is pretreated by adding sodium hexametaphosphate (Na₆(PO₃)₆) to soliquoid of it. Na₆(PO₃)₆ is used as a dispersing agent. It is shown that adsorption capacity of pillared-montmorillonite on SO₄^2-ion is increased compared with non-adding.
