Feasibility Analysis of Lightweight Conversion for Pro/E 3-D Models in Third-Party Formats

Abstract:

Based on 3-D model's common formats obj and stp as well as Deep Exploration and Rhino software, this article takes the 1G-scale Pro/E 3-D models as an example, uses third-party format conversion to study and summarize the methods of lightweight conversion of 3-D model. The article has also compared the advantages and disadvantages of four different methods and conducted a feasibility analysis on them, which serves as effective basis for the follow-up work.
