Abstract: The Holtrop method, which provides a prediction of the components of surface ships total resistance, is widely used at ships initial design stage for estimating the resistance. In this paper a neural network model which performs the same role as the Holtrop method is presented to predict the residual resistance. A multilayer perceptron has been trained with the data generated by the Holtrop method to learn the relationship between the input (length-displacement ratio, prismatic coefficient, breadth-draft ratio and Froude number) and the target variable (the residual resistance coefficient). The results of this model have been compared against those provided by the Holtrop method and it is found that the quality of the prediction is improved over the entire range of data. The neural network provides an accurate estimation of the residual resistance with the Froude number and the hull geometry coefficients as variables.

Abstract: With the increasing demand for deep space exploration, technology of space signal coverage gradually becomes a important research domain in deep space communications. A signal coverage mathematic model was given focused on the characteristics of deep space communications environment especially in celestial body blocking case. An approximation algorithm which used volume measurement in multiple integral is proposed. The approximation algorithm obtained a space covering nodes set based on iteration process in polynomial time0(nm).

Abstract: This paper introduces a new parameter estimation method, E-Bayesian estimation method, to estimate failure rate. The definition, properties, E-Bayesian estimation and hierarchical Bayesian estimation of failure rate are given. A example is also discussed. Through the example the efficiency and easiness of operation of this method are commended.

Abstract: Based on a common Bayesian network that models a system which has a cascade fault, this paper designs a new Bayesian network model and compares the two models according to experiment data. The experimental result shows that the new one is more consistent with the practical situation. The paper also gives a method for constructing a Bayesian network that models a system which has a cascade fault, a method efficient in the field of detecting cascade fault.

Abstract: In order to better extract image feature and recognition, a novel feature extraction algorithm of the binary image processing using Otsu combined with normalized moment of inertia (NMI) is put forward. Firstly, the image is processed into binary image and the target area is effectively segmented utilizing Otsu algorithm based on the criteria of maximal variance between-class , secondly, the NMI feature of the binary image is extracted, and finally, the extraction NMI feature is used in image recognition. Experimental results show that NMI feature of the binary image have the ability of anti-geometric distortions (translation, rotation and scaling, TRS), and anti-brightness distortions, the novel method have characteristics of simple extraction approach, little extraction parameter, easy implementation, and strong robustness.

Abstract: Relaxed technique is one of the main techniques for Improving convergence rate of splitting iterative method. Based on existing parallel multisplitting methods, we have deeply studied the convergence of the relaxed multisplitting method associated with TOR multisplitting for solving the linear system whose coefficient matrix is an H-matrix. Moreover, theoretical analysis have shown that the convergence domain of the relaxed parameters is weaker and wider.

Abstract: In data sharing, protecting the user's privacy data is very important. This article is based on data sanitization thought, and studies the protection of sensitive information. Then we proposed data sanitization algorithm (the Dpur algorithm), which is based on the weaken_sensitive_pattern tree. The results show that under the influencing of privacy protection factor, Dpur algorithm is superior to the SWA algorithm. When the shared data is the original data set, Dpur algorithm provides more efficient data sanitization.

Abstract: In this paper, a multi-disciplinary optimization frame considering weld fatigue constraints is constructed based on kriging surrogate model in order to improve the fatigue reliability of vehicle structures. Under this frame, kriging surrogate model is used to construct weight, strength, stiffness, frequency, fatigue life responses for optimization, which improves effectively the computing efficiency. For weld fatigue analysis, master S-N curve method in AMSE criterion is used for reliable fatigue life. The curb girders of a high-speed train are taken as an example, a light-weight optimization model considering static strengthen and weld fatigue constrains is constructed and solved by use of submodelling technology under the proposed optimization frame. After optimization, the weight of the curb girders is reduced about 33% from 1.73 ton to 1.16 ton. These results show the proposed optimization method is effective, and provide the preference for the light-weight design of high-speed trains.

Abstract: This paper proposes a novel unconstrained criterion of blind equalization, which is based on minimizing the difference between two norms of the joint channel-equalizer impulse response. There is no need to impose any constraint on the equalizer coefficients when adjusting. The algorithm is convergent in the sense that a perfect equalization solution is achieved at every local optimum of the function. And we propose a batch algorithm and online-recursive method for implementation. Finally, the reliability, validity and good performance of the proposed algorithm are verified by evaluation of residual ISI through computer simulations.

Abstract: BLAST can achieve high speed data communication. Its signal detection directly affects performance of BLAST receiver. This paper introduced several signal detection algorithmsZF algorithm, MMSE algorithm, ZF-SIC algorithm and MMSE-SIC algorithm. The simulation results show that the traditional ZF algorithm has the worst performance, the traditional MMSE algorithm and the ZF-SIC algorithm is similar, but with the increase of the SNR, the performance of ZF-SIC algorithm is better than MMSE algorithm. MMSE-SIC algorithm has the best detection performance in these detection algorithms.
