Design and Implementation of SNMP Agent's Extension

Abstract:

This article introduces the protocol of network management, SNMP. Including network management modelthe development of SNMP and the choice of software packet. Using the free open net-snmp software packages, the article discusses the SNMP agents design scheme and the implement process based on Linux. Testing result illustrates that the module is able to monitor equipment remotely and efficiently, and the design method is practicable and instructive in other remote monitoring area with safety requirement.
