Research of Model Based Imaging and Wave Impedance Inversion of Seismic Signal

Article Preview

Abstract:

In order to find a better inversion solution suitable for special gas hydrate exploration area with distinctive geological conditions, this paper proposed model based wave impedance inversion. This new solution can fully use seismic data and logging or pseudo-logging data to establishing an initial model. By continually modifies and updates the geological model through model selective preference iteration, the inversion can figure out a final model that possesses accordance with the actual seismic data. Model based wave impedance inversion can break the limit of traditional seismic resolution theory and can bring the interpreter high quality inversion result and high resolution profiles.
