Abstract: Emission spectrum of Iridium complex bis [2-(9, 9-diethylfluoren-2-yl)-5-trifluoromethyl-pyridinto-C3, iridium (acetylacetonate) (fl-5CF3-py)2Ir (acac) in THF was 589 nm. Two weak UV absorption bands can be assigned to spin-allowed singlet metal-to-ligand charge transfer (1MLCT) and spin-forbidden 3MLCT transitions. The organic light-emitting devices A ITO/PEDOT: PSS/PBD: PVK: (fl-5CF3-py)2Ir (acac) (8 %) /LiF/Al and B ITO/PEDOT:PSS/PBD: PVK: (fl-5CF3-py)2Ir (acac) (8 %) /TPBi/LiF/Al were fabricated using iridium complex as emitter dopant with electro-luminescent spectra at 592 and 588 nm at the bias voltages of 9, 11 and 13V. Devices A and B exhibited luminance of 5265 (at 15 V) and 4098 cd/m2 with Commission International de LEclairage (CIE) coordinates of (0.5805, 0.4185) and (0.5815, 0.4176), respectively. Device B (with TPBi) emitted orange light more efficiently than Device A (without TPBi).

Abstract: The current development of new potential fibers is widening the areas of application. One of the current potential fibers developed is pineapple leaf fiber (PALF). PALF have been widely used as a raw material for pulp and paper making industry in Malaysia recently. Due to its enhanced properties, PALF now is commercialized as an alternative textile fiber. PALF is one of the high textile grade fibers which are commonly extracted by decorticator machine. PALF is silky, fine and textile grade. Hence, it has been widely used to make apparel. Apart from being used as an alternative fiber for home textile and apparel, PALF meet the basic requirement to be used as technical fibers. This paper presented the possibility of PALF utilization as technical fibers in rope making. PALF have similarity properties with others natural rope fibers and its can be spun into rope yarn. Instead of having a good strength, PALF also have a reasonable length as well as can be pliable. All of these are the main principle of rope making fibers. As PALF have meet this entire requirement, it can be said that its have huge potential to be used as rope making fibers.

Abstract: Nd3-xYxFe27.5Ti1.5(0.6≤x≤2.4) and Nd3-x’Yx’Fe27.5Mo1.5 (0.6≤x’≤2.4) alloys have been synthesized successfully and studied by means of powder neutron diffraction. The structural analyses indicate that the main phases in all cases crystallize in the monoclinic Nd3(Fe,Ti)29-type structure with a space group A2/m. Ti and Mo prefer to occupy 4g, 4i1 and 4i2 sites exclusively and the elemental site occupancies are dominated by the site sizes and thermodynamic effects.

Abstract: The Mg2NiH4 hydrogen storage metal hydride was prepared by hydriding combustion synthesis under an external magnetic field. The dehydriding kinetics of the hydrides was measured under isotherm condition. The kinetics mechanism of Mg2NiH4 materials was analyzed by model. The calculated results show that the theoretical calculation and the experimental data can reach a good agreement. The rate-controlling step is the diffusion of hydrogen atoms in the solid solution. The dehydriding activation energies of the sample synthesized under the optimized magnetic intensity of 6 T is 104 kJ/mol H2.

Abstract: To establish a novel method for preparing molecularly imprinted polymers for Picroside I with better performance on TCM research contrast to previous studies, we have prepared novel surface molecular imprinted polymers (S-MIPs) using Picroside I as the template molecule, Acrylamide (AM) as the functional monomer, and silica gel as the carrier. The morphology of S-MIPs was characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and its static adsorption capacity was measured by the Scatchard equation.

Abstract: Nanometer ZnO and nanometer CeO2 have good UV radiation absorption, but they have difficulties in dispersing in polymer materials. Firstly, we fabricated the PA-6/ZnO chips with 10% nanoZnO. And we also fabricated the PA-6/ZnO/CeO2 chips with 2.5% nanoZnO and 7.5% nanoCeO2. Secondly, we mixed respectively 10% of these two nanomaterial chips with the polyamide 6 chips. Then through the spinning, knitting and finishing processes, we fabricated PA-6 fibers and PA-6 fabrics with permanent UV radiation absorption. The results showed that: the PA-6 fibers that we had fabricated had good UV radiation absorption.

Abstract: This experiment used PA6 anti-ultraviolet properties fabric which specifications were adding a content of 0.3% nanomaterial 70D/24F SD DTY and adding a content of 0.7% nanomaterial 70D/48F SD DTY as raw material. After weaving, we analysis the influence on dye concentration and postboarding process for anti-ultraviolet properties of PA6 knitted fabrics. The result shows that the more dye concentration increase, the better anti-ultraviolet properties of fabric raise and the higher temperature or the slower speed of the postboarding, the faster anti-ultraviolet properties of fabric decline.

Abstract: In this work, a series of novel bipolar copolymers containing 8-hydroxyquinoline aluminum (Alq3) and carbazole had been synthesized by copolymerization of a novel Alq3 complex monomer and N-vinylcarbazole (NVK), and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectra (FTIR), gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).

Abstract: Antimicrobial effect of functional protein films incorporating garlic oil (GO), potassium sorbate (PS) and nisin (N) at various concentrations were discussed. This activity was tested against food pathogenic bacteria namely Escherichia coli (E.coli) and Staphylococcus aureus (S.aureus).Mechanical and physical properties were characterized. In the range of antimicrobial agents concentration studied, tensile strength (TS) and elongation at break (E) of functional protein films were changed by incorporating GO,PS and N. And the WVP value of functional protein films decreased as antimicrobial agents added. GO incorporated into protein films had no effect on E.coli, but incorporation of GO at 300μl had antimicrobial activity against S.aureus. Protein films incorporated with PS showed antimicrobial activity against S.aureus, but there was no effect on E.coli. Incorporation of N at the lowest level of 25,000 IU had antimicrobial activity against both E.coli and S.aureus.

Abstract: The new Nd-Fe-B magnets were prepared by powder metallurgical processing. The thermal stability and magnetic properties were found to be remarkably improved after annealing at 680 °C for 2 h. The Br, and Hc, BH of annealed magnets were improved by-0.04 T, 132 KA·m-1, 22 KJ·m-3, from 1.25 T, 882 KA·m-1, 286 KJ·m-3 of the as-sintered magnets, respectively. The losses and average temperature coefficients of magnetic properties were very low at 373 K. Compare with the as-sintered magnets, the magnetic property losses of the annealed magnets decreased by half at different temperature. Scanning electron microscopy on magnets did reveal a noticeable difference in phase morphology, and found that the improvements of thermal stability and magnetic properties can be attributed to the change of magnetic domain wall motion, composition, stray demagnetizing fields, and microstructure. The new Nd-Fe-B preferment magnets are promising to use in the all-electric bus hub direct drive motor.
