Kinetic Studies and Adsorption Property of Activated Carbon from Heilongjiang Blended Coal for Phenol

Article Preview

Abstract:

HSAAC was prepared from coal blending test of Qitaihe Coal and Yilan Coal with KOH activation method under N2 protection, to study its adsorption property for phenol in aqueous solution. Kinetic studies showed that adsorption of activated carbon for phenol fitted the second order kinetic model. The second order rate constants k2 is 1.9515×10-2 g•mg-1•min-1.
