AC-DC Isolation of EIS Impedance Test System for Li-Ion Battery Packs

Article Preview

Abstract:

Impedance test is very critical for estimating the SOC and SOH of Li-ion battery. In this paper, a novel AC-DC isolation method applied in the impedance test is proposed based on Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) with the technique of dynamic frequency scanning. Specifically, we analyze the presented AC-DC isolation methods and design an isolation module with the inverting superposition of Root Mean Square (RMS), which is compared with passive filtering and active filtering via the simulation and experimental test. The results show that the proposed isolation module can meet the performance requirement determined by the EIS test system, without the bandwidth limit, the phase shift and the DC bias.
