Abstract: Useful information often hides in traffic management system. To mine useful data, prior knowledge has been used to train the artificial neural network (ANN) to identify the traffic conditions in the traffic information forecasting. Subjective information has hence been introduced into the ANN model. To solve this problem, a new ANN model is proposed based on the data mining technology in this work. The Self-Organized Feature Map (SOFM) is firstly employed to cluster the traffic data through an unsupervised learning and provide the labels for these data. Then labeled data were used to train the GA-Chaos optimized RBF neural network. Herein, the GA-Chaos algorithm is used to train the RBF parameters. Experimental tests use practical data sets from the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to validate the performance of the proposed ANN model. The results show that the proposed method can extract the potential patterns hidden in the traffic data and can accurately predict the future traffic state. The prediction accuracy is beyond 95%.

Abstract: As a lossless data compression coding, Huffman coding is widely used in text compression. Nevertheless, the traditional approach has some deficiencies. For example, same compression on all characters may overlook the particularity of keywords and special statements as well as the regularity of some statements. In terms of this situation, a new data compression algorithm based on semantic analysis is proposed in this paper. The new kind of method, which takes C language keywords as the basic element, is created for solving the text compression of source files of C language. The results of experiment show that the compression ratio has been improved by 150 percent roughly in this way. This method can be promoted to apply to text compression of the constrained-language.

Abstract: Contact resistance is an essential cause of electrical equipment joint heating. An experimental platform was built to measure and compare temperature and contact resistance of memory alloy spring washers and ordinary spring washers when heated by taking the same heavy current, on condition that both of the counterparts had the same initial contact resistance and temperature. Results showed that memory alloy washer were more helpful to limit the joint temperature rise by reducing contact resistance from their features of tempting to restore to original shape when heated to a high temperature. Therefore, the memory alloy washers were proved to have remarkable effect on ensuring safety of electric power equipments and reducing energy loss.

Abstract: In the presented paper is comprehensively assessed the behavior of spruce and birch wood during fire. Samples were loaded by heat flux of 20, 35 and 50 kW/m2 in apparatus according to ISO 5657. The duration of the test was up to 30 min. The behavior of the samples was evaluated on the basis of charring rate and concentrations of carbon monoxide in smoke. Charring rate was rising with increasing heat flux density and decreasing linearly with increasing density of the samples. The maximum concentration of CO in the smoke for spruce and birch wood was observed just before the end of the test, during the phase of char layer burning.

Abstract: This study was carried out to select the suitable plants for aquatic ecosystem restoration such as lakes and streams. In this study, 2 woody species were investigated for their survival and growth characteristics in the complete and partly flooding condition with 1day, 3days and 5days flooding durations. Flooding tolerance of Rosa multiflora is high and available on half flooded conditions, and no tolerance on complete flooded conditions except 1day flooding. And flooding tolerance of Spiraea prunifolia is high and available when flooded within 3days. Consequentially, it realized that Rosa multiflora and Spiraea prunifolia known as upland terrestrial plants are available in aquatic ecosystems also, and it is realized Rosa multiflora is more effective than Spiraea prunifolia.

Abstract: CPT is a kind of relatively superior field test technology, which is one of important the liquefaction in-situ test at home and abroad. In 1987, China has formed the national standard CPT liquefaction evaluation method, which predominantly from 1976 Tangshan earthquake liquefaction data, and then has not been tested. Recently by the 40 CPT liquefaction field data of Bachu earthquake obtained a liquefied evaluation formula. Due to comparing the liquefied evaluation methods at home and abroad, found the national standard CPT liquefied critical curve is qualitatively distinct to the others liquefied evaluation methods. If it is wrong about the code of CPT liquefied evaluation method, which the liquefied critical curve will be smaller along with the direction of the depth, will direct the liquefied evaluation critically be conservative and the depth liquefaction evaluation clearly be hazardous. In theory, this problem can be attributed to the influence of sand depth for liquefied evaluation, worthy of further discussion.

Abstract: The silicone oil leachate in fouling release coatings has very important effect on inhabitting marine organism on ships hull and releasing of biofouling from it. For observing and testifying the leaching phenomenon of silicone oil in PMDS fouling release coating, the coating was designed and prepared consisting of 107 silicone gum, dimethyl silicone oil, tetraethylorthosilicate as crosslinked curing agent, multi-walled carbon nanotube as filler, dibutyltin dilaurate as catalyst. The confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) LEXT OLS4000 was used to observe the morphology of the coating and silicone oil leachate. The results indicate that the dimethyl silicone oil can stably exist and distribute uniformly in PDMS coating. Regardless of between the coating and air or and seawater, silicone oil can leach on the interface. Silicone oil not only can leache faster on the interface between seawater and the coating than that between air and it, but also can easily form the continuous oil film because of the gravity of seawater.

Abstract: In order to accurately measure the surface roughness of the outer strands on aluminum conductor steel reinforced cable, two different methods are proposed to correct the error by the general method using light-section microscope. Comparing the images by staining method and angle amendment method for ACSR cable, it is found that the later is better than staining methods. The result conducts that angle amendment method using light-section microscope is suitable for measuring the surface roughness of the outer strands on ACSR cable.

Abstract: A novel sparse weighted LSSVM classifier is proposed in this paper, which is based on Suykens weighted LSSVM. Unlike Suykens weighted LSSVM, the proposed weighted method is more suitable for classification. The distance between sample and classification border is used as the sample importance measure in our weighted method. Based on this importance measure, a new weight calculating function, using which can adjust the sparseness of weight, is designed. In order to solve the imbalance problem, a kind of normalization weights calculating method is proposed. Finally, the proposed method is used on digit recognition. Comparative experiment results show that the proposed sparse weighted LSSVM can improve the recognition correct rate effectively.
