Settlement by Territorial Proximity and Urbanization of China's New-Generation of Migrant Workers

Abstract:

Using multinomial logistic regressions, this paper examines the settlement tendency of Chinese New-generation of Migrant Workers through a field survey by means of one to one interviews. It has found that they tend to choose to settle in small and medium-sized cities near their hometowns. And their individual occupation and household economic status show significant effects on their future settlement in cities.
