Research on the Algorithm for Parallel Computing Based on Lifting Wavelet Transform

Abstract:

In this paper we proposed the new method of a lifting wavelet transform accoding to the characteristics of the parallel computing hardware units in practial application. We improved the mode of integer to construct a new 5/3 wavelet transform scheme .In order to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method applying the new method to the image and compare the result obtained using the traditional transform by the MSE evaluation. Experimental results show that the proposed method is superior and reducing the number of computations and the large capacity storage that restrict the implementation of algorithm for hardware.
