Talking about the Residential Outdoor Environment Design in the Context of the Aging

Abstract:

Home-based care for the aged is a dominant endowment type in china. Today, the trend of population aging has become increasingly apparent, corresponding outdoor environment and facilities must be provided in residential community. As Qinghuayuan community of Zhengzhou for example, on the basis of investigation to outdoor environment and the elderly utilization, the author put forward suggestions about walking, leisure and communication to explore the design essentials of outdoor environment in residential area suitable for the elderly.
