Evolution of the Research on Oxygen-Enriched Intake Air with Variable Composition of a Gasoline Engine

Abstract:

This article presents the engine control studies of the various oxygen-rich aspiration constituent. Which reforms the concentration and distribution of the oxygen constituent in the cylinder before the combustion by changing the aspiration constituent and charge, to improve the active control technology of combustion and emission. Improve the quenching phenomenon at the cylinder wall and raise the high temperature at the cylinder center by controlling the distribution of the various oxygen concentrations, in order to reduce the emissions of CO, HC and the unburned particulate matter (PM), to enhance the economy of the fuel and increase the dynamic property. I make a simulation calculation of the oxygen-rich inlet of gas engine by the CFD software Fluent, analyses the oxygen-rich aspirating rules under particular condition and its adaptability to the hemispherical gasoline combustion chamber, and examines the characteristic of the distribution of oxygen constituent in the cylinder after where oxygen and air mixes.
