Abstract: Poly (L-lysine·HBr) (PLL) along with phosphate buffer was used as template to direct the formation of biosilica under ambient conditions. We found that PLL with 150 and 400 amino acid residues resulted in forming biosilica plates, performed time-resolved SEM as a function of time to explore the silica structure evolution process during biomineralization and drew a mechanism diagram about the forming of biosilica plates.

Abstract: Textile materials almost belong to high polymer material, which have three kinds of phenomena below: reflection, projection and absorption. Due to the particularity of fiber structure, radiation incident to the fiber radiation occurs the multiple internal reflection as well as the transmission and absorption of part of radiation.

Abstract: 3-(4-Fluorophenyl)-1,5-bis (pyridyl)-1,5-pentanedione has been synthesized and the crystal structure has been determined by means of single-crystal X-ray diffraction. In the moleculer structure, the phenyl ring and the two pyridine rings are almost perpendicular , and two pyridine rings are closed to coplane.

Abstract: Emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization is a technique derived from conventional emulsion polymerization in which polymerization is carried out in the absence of emulsifiers. This technique is useful for the preparation of polymer colloids with narrow particle size distributions and well defined surface properties. Emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization eliminates the disadvantages of conventional emulsion polymerizations stemming from the use of emulsifiers, e.g. impurities in products caused by residual emulsifier and poor water-resistance of films induced by polymer latex.

Abstract: Magnetic nanocomposites of Fe3O4@nSiO2@mSiO2 were synthesized by a two-step template method. Firstly, Fe3O4 magnetic core encapsulated clusters of SiO2 nanoparticles (Fe3O4@nSiO2, non-porous SiO2) was prepared by a spray drying method. Then the core-shell spheres of Fe3O4@nSiO2 were coated further with an m-SiO2 layer (mesoporous silica) by a sol-gel process using CTAB as a template. The resultant samples were characterized with scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Nitrogen adsorption-desorption and Magnetic measurements. The acquired magnetic nanocomposites possess abundant mesopores, thus extends their potential application in biomedical and wastewater treatment due to their magnetic separation ability upon an external magnetic field.

Abstract: In this study, a 316L stainless steel sheet and Q345R steel ribs are cladded to be a bimetallic ribbed panel which is hardly be manufactured by normal processing technique. There are three key sections in the fabrication process: the parallel arrangement, optimization of the explosive welding parameter and the template filling and stripping. The bonding interfaces of the ribbed panel are observed and analyzed by means of mechanical test and optical microscope (OM). It is found that welding interface is wavy, and the bonding strength is higher than that of base plate.

Abstract: Cellulose sponge has the characteristic of porous and spongy. It’s difficult to strip in conventional processing. This paper describes a process using ultrasonic aided in solution of thiourea dioxide and sodium hydroxide. The cellulose sponge can be faster and better handled in this process. It will have a better stripping effect. And the optimization parameter of ultrasonic process is described for: thiourea dioxide 30 g/l, sodium hydroxide 40 g/l, the time of 10 min, the temperature of 70 °C. Under the condition of this operation, cellulose sponge stripping rate was 98.8%, the breaking strength loss rate was 27.6%.

Abstract: A 1000 hour hydrotreating experiment was performed to investigate the hydrotreating behavior of heteroatom compounds (first stage) and HDM catalyst deactivation (second stage) using Venezuela De-Asphalted Oil. The effect of reaction severity on impurities removal was the expected one, the deeper the hydrotreating degree, the higher the conversion of impurities. The Characterization of spent HDM catalyst shows that the content of coke deposition on spent HDM catalyst is only 4 wt% while that of metal is more than 30 wt%. Vanadium compounds in DAO with less diffusion resistance can deposit inside of the HDM catalyst grain. Lower coke formation also retard the HDM catalyst by keeping the diffusion pores and active cites. The removal of asphaltenes largely improved the stability of the HDM catalyst.

Abstract: Different thickness of inkjet materials was prepared. The surface properties were investigated by AFM. The results indicated that the surface roughness was changed with thickness. Print quality was analyzed by the chromatic aberration. The result indicated that the influence of the thickness on print quality is remarkable. When the thickness is 50um, the comprehensive properties are the best.

Abstract: Y2.20-xCa0.80GdxV0.40In0.15Fe4.45O12 garnet ferrite samples were prepared by solid-state reaction method, the effect of Gd-substitution on the microstructure and electromagnetic properties of YIG were systematically investigated. The results show that the substitution of Gd3+ makes the Ms~T curve more flat which improve the temperature stability of saturation magnetization; meanwhile, it appreciably increases the ferromagnetic resonance linewidth and spin wave linewidth.
