Preparation of LED Plant Growth Lamp and its Preliminary Study on Cultivation of Rare Chinese Herbal Medicine “Dendrobium candidum

Abstract:

In this paper, we carry on the preliminary discussion and prepare the lamp which is suitable for the plant growth, accord to light a source and its various parameters needed for plant growth, then apply it to cultivating “Dendrobium candidum” which is a rare Chinese herbal medicine. Through the experiment results, we can prove that the red/blue light wavelength is located in 660/450 nm, and the best proportion of red/blue light is 2/1, this is the best condition for the “Dendrobium candidum” to grow. In this condition, its chlorophyll a, b and the content of polysaccharide will be significantly improved.
