Preparation of NiTi/NiTiNb Laminated Alloys by Vacuum Brazing

Article Preview

Abstract:

NiTi/NiTiNb laminated alloys have been produced by vacuum brazing process using AgCu28 eutectic as a filler metal, and the stress-strain behavior have been researched with bending tests. The results show that the interface has a good mechanical property and no broken when the laminated alloys plate is bending tested. Differ from single shape memory alloy NiTi or NiTiNb specimen, the laminated composite show a very wide recovery temperature region, covering from -60 °C to 45 °C, within which the NiTi/NiTiNb laminated alloys show higher damping properties. This study will be useful in developing vibrating control materials.
