Multi-Objective Optimization Design of Mold Platens on Large Precision Injection Molding Machines

Mold platens play an important role in the injection process of injection molding machines. In this paper, a method of integrating NCGA with FEA is proposed to solve MOP of mold platens on large precision injection molding machines. A Pareto optimum is obtained as the result of the MOP analysis, from which proper solutions can be selected according to diverse design needs. Analytical results indicate NCGA is effective in solving MOP of mold platens.
