The Research of EPON Rapid Protection Switching in Power System

Abstract:

The redundant optical link protection is the most popular technology by which we advance the reliability of Ethernet Passive Optical Networking (EPON) in power communication network, and self-healing sooner the network better. Through optical link state monitoring technology, we can start the protection switching immediately. Through optical network unit(ONU) pre-registration technology, we can shorten the self-healing time. Moreover, everything is occur on ONU, and then it would simplify the process.
