Article Preview

Abstract:

9/7 lifting wavelet is widely applied to data processing. By taking advantages of regular data flows and data local properties of 9/7 wavelet transform, mesh structure of 9/7 Lifting wavelet parallel transform is put forward in the paper. The structure realizes the parallel processing of wavelet transform. and column transform directly after the row transform without data exchanging with memory. It reduces the circuit implementation complexity , improves the speed of wavelet transform, and has good scalability. The structur is adapt to VLSI implementation and applies to real-time processing of high performance requirements.
