Research for Smart Micro-Grid System of Optimal Operation on the Island

Article Preview

Abstract:

The paper introduces the advantage of the application of new energy generation, and then describes the structure of a smart micro-grid system built on an island which includes wind, solar, tidal-wave energy system. The method of day-ahead optimal operation was applied to smart micro-grid system on the island to minimize the operation cost by using genetic algorithm. Taking actual datum of Shanghai Electric Group’s micro-grid for case study, the dynamic economic dispatch is compared with traditional dispatch strategy. The results verify the effectiveness of the dynamic economic.
